The actor Chris Evans has revealed his iPhone 6S has passed away and tweeted a small tribute to his beloved phone.

“RIP iPhone 6s,” the voice actor from Lightyear tweeted on Thursday. “We had a good run. I’ll miss your home button. I won’t miss the nightly battle of trying to get you to charge. Or your grainy pictures. Or your sudden drops from 100% battery, to 15% to completely dead, all within minutes. It was a wild ride. Rest easy, pal. “

It’s apparent reason Evans may have experienced problems with his iPhone during the time leading up to the time it went down. The iPhone 6S was released in September. 25 of 2015, the iPhone 6S was part of the 9th generation of iPhones from Apple, more than several years ago. This iPhone 6S is geriatric by standard smartphone criteria, having been removed when Apple launched its 12th generation of phones in 2018. It’s currently the fifteenth generation.

The iPhone 6S had a couple of unexpected issues with power when it was relatively new, and Apple offered battery replacements in 2016. It needs to be clarified if Evans was one of those who accepted the offer. Even if the iPhone 6S worked perfectly, seven years of hassle-free operation is a massive amount for any phone.

This isn’t surprising despite the age of the iPhone 6S and the fact that Evans had not changed his phone’s settings before. While he’s an internationally-known actor and can purchase a new phone, Evans has never portrayed himself as a fan of getting the latest technology.

“Dear All Technology, Remember the 90’s? When you worked ???” Evans tweeted in the year 2019. “I do not need an “smart” feature on my thermostat, TV lighting, music, fridge as well as security cameras and the f-ing vehicle. You’re a huge problem in our a**es. You’re not worth it. “

Many tech-savvy people will wait in line to be among the first to get the latest handset model. However, Evans is part of the crowd who decide to get the most out of their devices before requesting an upgrade. They aren’t concerned about a device being removed in the past four years.

Evans paid homage to his iPhone’s home button during his heartfelt goodbye. The feature was removed from Apple’s flagship phones, including its replacement, the iPhone X, in 2017, which could have contributed to Evans’ decision not to upgrade.

Fortunately, Apple still needs to remove its home button for the MCU’s first Captain America. Although iPhone 13 and 13 Pro depend upon Face ID for their biometric unlock, the third-generation iPhone SE still uses the home button and was released earlier this year as part of the latest phone generation.

It’s also smaller than the iPhone 8, and iPhone SE shares a design similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 8, which is only a little larger than iPhone 6S. iPhone 6S, while its internal hardware is comparable to iPhone 13. If Evans would like to remain in Apple’s ecosystem and not switch to a different phone, the iPhone SE is an excellent choice for him, as it offers greater power in a well-known design.

Whatever he chooses to choose, it’s unlikely that he’ll have to make a decision immediately. If Evans had already rushed out to purchase a brand new iPhone and iPad, his old 6S could have had some final gasps: Evans’ tribute tweet was sent out via iPhone.

UPDATE: Jun. 24 2022, 2.27 p.m. It appears that Evans bought a new phone and posted a picture of it on Instagram. It’s an iPhone 13 or 13 Pro that makes sense. It’s been proven that he’s not a technology expert. It’s only natural to go with Apple’s flagship model. Sadly, it could have been possible to keep the home button on his phone. However, he may be willing to change his ways.
