But for those who do not want to make the cost of a mortgage on the motherboard, EVGA just announced its Z690 Dark Kingpin, available at a more reasonable price of $829.99.
Since it’s the highest of EVGA’s motherboards, it’s an eight-layer PCB and a 21-phase voltage regulator (VRM). Z690 Dark Kingpin has just two memory slots to support 64GB DDR5–6600plus. EVGA has two fans in the I/O ports, which blow cool air through the CPU socket LGA-1700 (which has been rotated to 90 degrees compared to the similar Z690 motherboards).
There are also dual PCIe 5.0 slots three M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe slots.
