HTC A101 tablet is released with the 10.1-inch screen, LCD panel Unisoc processor, 8GB of RAM, and much more
After launching a range that includes crypto-phones, HTC has entered the tablet market by launching the HTC A101, being unveiled quietly.
Updated information to clarify that the latest tablet’s model is HTC A101 and not the A100 mentioned above. A100, which was announced in September 2021.
HTC A100 comes with a 10.1-inch LCD with 1920×1,200 pixels and thick bezels across the entire display length. There’s room for a selfie camera of 5 megapixels within the top bezel and a dual rear camera configuration that includes a 13-megapixel main camera and a two-megapixel ultra-wide.
A budget-friendly device has internals that helps keep the cost of the device affordable. Its HTC A101 utilizes the Unisoc Tiger T618 processor and is equipped with 8GB of RAM. While it’s not huge, this internals is superior to the Nokia T20 that, while not perfect, is sufficient to handle basic internet browsing.
The base storage capacity is 128GB, and microSD card expansion is also accessible for peace of mind and to manage files further. There’s also the possibility of adding a 3.5mm headphone socket, while biometric unlocking is possible using facial recognition software called Face Unlock.
A huge battery of 7,000mAh is concealed inside and charged through the USB-C ports at the top of the HTC A101. But, the charging speed has not been announced. Android 11 comes pre-installed, but HTC hasn’t yet confirmed what update schedule is there as well. The two available colors include space gray and moon silver.
It’s unclear whether it’s clear if the HTC A101 will come to other countries. However, it’s being launched in South Africa first. The specifications certainly put the tablet in the same category as competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab series and Nokia’s first attempt at the tablet market for a short time.
