Nvidia announces the price-conscious RTX 3050 graphic card, which will be available this month for $249

We’ve been waiting for this budget Ampere graphics card for a while, but it’s finally here

In case the RTX 3050 isn’t a semblance of a modern GPU for you, it’s because it’s not. We’ve been using an RTX 3050 and the RTX 3050 Ti within the laptop gaming sphere for quite some time, and we’ve been in the waiting room for the desktop model. It wouldn’t be long until 2022 before we could get our hands on one of them since Nvidia has announced its Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, a discrete graphics card.

Its CES 2022 call is still in progress, but it’s been full to the brim up to date. This is perhaps the reason we’ve only seen an ounce of the RTX3050 specs. We have some crucial information, though, like its price of $249 as the starting price and its availability at the end of January it should be noted that GPU shipment are predicted to increase by 10% in 2022.

The main thing it brings game is Ampere architecture and supports technologies like Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and Ray Tracing. It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to get a lot of real-time tracer on this card. However, DLSS will surely boost the overall performance of games that support it.

In terms of performance, Nvidia gives us an insight into performance, although it’s not exactly an easy head-to-head. Nvidia has incorporated DLSS and RT into its performance numbers as the older models don’t support them. All of this means that the RTX 3050 will perform quicker than its aging budget-friendly counterparts, especially with DLSS; however, we’re not sure what amount, especially in an equal fight.
