WhatsApp Introduces a New Way to Interact with Groups: Voice Chats
WhatsApp is introducing a new way to interact with large groups through voice chats, offering a more flexible and less disruptive approach to group conversations. Unlike traditional group voice calls, where participants are automatically notified and their phones ring continuously, the new voice chat feature sends a notification to group members, allowing them to join at their convenience.
Once inside a group voice chat, participants can mute their voices or end the call using controls accessible from the top of the chat. Those unable to join the voice chat can continue sending and receiving text messages within the group.
The new voice chat feature supports up to 32 participants and offers end-to-end encryption, ensuring the privacy and security of conversations. The rollout for larger groups (33 to 128 people) will begin first, followed by smaller groups with 32 or fewer participants.
This innovative feature will undoubtedly enhance the way we interact with large groups on WhatsApp, providing a more convenient and user-friendly voice chat experience.
